Pretty sure the swingarm on the raptor is totally differant from any Suzuki item so wouldnt think it would fit but am not familiar with the suzuki items.

I took my thread bare original off and got hold of a Teflon sheet 4mm thick....

I used the original as a template and cut a new one out with a jigsaw drilled the location hole at the front and the 2 6mm holes to hold the piece in place on the top and bottom of the swing arm.....

It makes no nasty clattery noises and just slides and protects...

I should of taken some pictures before mounting it :photo:

Cheers,

Paul.

Well we have teflon sheets at work....
We use it for it's low friction properties and it's ability to withstand reasonably high temperatures (250c )
It's not rubber it's actually more like plastic sheet.
Maybe you can find it in DIY stores?

Cheers and good luck!

Paul.

Now that would be telling

Working at CERN and having to adapt make and modify things that don't exist often leads use to have to create our own solutions :P
Can come in handy for foreigners to
Honestly half of my cars and bike and Rap are secretly sponsored by my work.... Shhhhh mums the word :happyhappy:

I think if you google Teflon sheet you may find some suppliers...

You could try making one from nylon block or sheet which should be a lot easier to get hold of. Most engineering workshops should have a scrap lying about (its used for bearing pads and was used for chain guides on bikes)

Hey guys,
I can't find a 4 mm sheet that is long enough. Just 300 mm sheets, need 450 mm for the chain slider.
Any tips where I can find a sheet or the original part?

I purchased a chain slider from a SV650.
Needed a bit of modding to fit,but nothing difficult.

Thanks shebee! But the seller doesn't offer international postage. I live in Sweden...

Might be worth giving them a call direct... I have found a phone number +44 1482 610110 GFG Fabrications. If they do it at the right price and wont ship to you you could get it shipped to me and i will forward it to you if that helps? :revrev:

shebee,
I found that the same seller offred international shipping here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3MM-PTFE-SHEE ... 1188234056?
But I think 3mm is to thin, so I contacted the seller if it's possible to order a 4mm sheet (in the other aution i couldn't contact the seller about the shipping).
Thanks for the offer to forward the shippment to me, I'll keep it in mind if the seller isn't willing to send me a 4mm sheet :)
