Making some real world measurements and checking that there were enough space for the linkage.

Then it was time to weld. In pictures you can see new rear shock that I found in ebay. Linkarm is also shorten to keep ride height pretty near where it was with previous setup.

Of course there wasn't enough space for the stock exhaust so I need to make new one.

Bike didn't run well with new exhaust so I took it dyno. Bike runs much better now, but its not perfect. When I made the new exhaust I should have made places for lambda-sensors. It would have made fuel adjusting easier.

Always good to see the (high quality) progress on your project and I must say I reckon it looks really good. Not too so far removed from the original but enough to be different & smart. Love the exhausts.

A little jealous of your garage space & kit mind.

BTW I was crusing the web and came across this raptor tuning page which may prove informative http://www.bikeboy.org/raptor1000.html

What he said , I like that it still looks like a Cagiva Raptor and not a parts bike. I am surprised by the dyno result, i would have expected a little higher but then again it could be in part due to the 2-1 exhaust. With so much effort gone into this bike i may have gone with using TLS Yoshimura headers at least, using a tls rear spigot pipe with some minor modifacations for much better exhaust flow, the Cagiva is a bit restrictive imho but overall very nice.

You are right, I made current exhaust in a hurry and I'm not compliantly happy with it.
Looks like my Raptor is never ending project. :D
