depends how quick you twist the stick sometimes
hopefully thats to the flashing (pre-reserve) not the full light
in another thread it was found that some had a good few miles on the flashing reserve and some plenty after the light was full on - seems they like to be as individual as their owners

The worst i`ve done is 72 miles to the light, riding like my arse was on fire and trying to save as much of the tread on my front tyre as possible.
On saturday i followed the wife to wales and got 132 miles to the light .As stated before ,it all depends on how you ride it.

NOTE; bikes do not have air brakes, lofting the front wheel will have an effect on a bikes braking efficiency.

Seems to be down to the tank. My first thou came on at 100, when I changed tanks, went to 80, second bike runs at 95-100.
Stops flashing when you're furthest from any garage, whatever distance that is.......... 20 miles is as far as I've pushed it (No, don't mean pushed)

i don't red-line it in every gear. But i do use plenty of revsshebee wrote:"75 miles the light appears"
Sir has been riding enthusiastically... Well done!
And to be honest i just can't stick at a level throttle. I'm always rolling off in 2nd/3rd, then pinning it again, getting that 'Just been kicked in the nuts by a horse" feeling .
And i can't really ride it any other way! Plus it's not a CB500
Red-line doesn't get used, but there's so much torque mid-range, i'm happy to roll off and on

Personally I don't fancy getting kicked in the nuts by a horse, but I can relate to what you are saying about the acceleration.philattersall wrote:i don't red-line it in every gear. But i do use plenty of revsshebee wrote:"75 miles the light appears"

Mind you 75 miles, you might want to check your TPS setting as we found ours (sorry Crafty's Raptor 1000) did go up in fuel consumption when it was out of spec.
