locating TRE on my bike

Post by spooky »

Hi, can anyone tell me where to look on my v-rap to see if a TRE has been fitted. I don't want to have to start unbolting the horns 'n' all to get the tank off if there is no need. I have a pc11 and am wondering if the previous owner had TRE fitted - The bike originally cam from those lads - name slips me - at Silverstone and has a jack up kit, so maybe they went the whole hog and fitted a TRE. A friend has one on his V strom and has offered to lend the TRE to me to see what it does....dut maybe I already have one??? Thanks in advance. :D

TRE is normally fitted into the loom on the RHS of the frame about midway between the cylinders just behind the frame tubes.

On the right side of the bike, tri-angle shaped connector (the only one on the bike)

Piccies:

Connected

Un-connected, place TRE in between
