Hi, have just bought a Raptor 1000 on ebay so felt I ought to join your excellent forum! Under £1400 for an 01(Y) with 21k on the clock. Bargain! Was actually looking for a naked SV1000 or 955 speed triple when this popped up. Am 6'3" tall so a jack-up kit is next on my shopping list. New tyres (pilot powers) and chain/sprockets going on today so am looking forward to ride to work tomorrow. is this bike the worlds best kept bike secret? Why would anyone buy a monster when these are available? I reckon Cagiva dropped a big one when they stopped production. Anyway, I see you had a meet recently at the 6 Bells, Chiddingly, (just 10 miles away for me) so until I can get a real round in, have one on me and i'll see you next time you're at the Bells or somewhere else in Sussex. Hello, welcome and good choice of bike. Hope you enjoy it. I'm long in the leg too and find the biggest problem to be seat to peg distance which I'm afraid a jack up kit won't help with. Doesn't keep me from loving the bike though.

Nice price. I keep browsing eBay and get little temptations come my way (mostly big, touring Guzzi's) only to find I'm more tempted to buy a second Rappie, just like the one I've got. And I nearly did when that low mileage 2006 one came up a few weeks ago. Gotta get a grip.
Trouble is, this bike brings out the sixteen-year old hooligan in me and the years just roll away…
