Emergency Advice

Post by RaptorJo »

Supposed to be going camping tomorrow morning and my bloody brake lever has snapped. Can anyone advice if its safe to drive. Have posted a pick, where the arrow is, is where there shouldn't be a gap, I've taped the bit of metal into the hole. Will this be ok?

pity you aint closer am sure I have a spare. hard to tell, does it feel strong enough if you really give it some?

try going out onto a quiet bit of road get up to speed on a straight and try an emergency stop, if that works fine and it doesnt appear to have affected your repair at all then you may get away with it.

Also if you have a dealer local, I believe many levers will fit (maybe with a bit of tweeking0 and that may be better than your heath robinson affair!
