Hello from Tropical North Queensland
Hello from Tropical North Queensland
Hi All
Just poking my head in to say hello. Just purchased a grey 2001 Raptor from a local bloke (also a member of this forum) as he is leaving town shortly. Been on it every day since tearing up and down the coast roads.
Looking forward to learning more about this amazing machine.
Rob.

Glad someone's enjoying some sunshine and a well sorted Rap. Hopefully I'll be enjoying both in a few months too.
Until then...

Thanks for the warm welcomes !
Yes - it is warm here, but keep in mind it's the wet season! So, not cold but it is often wet Anyway, presuming the rain stays away for a few days over the Chrissy break I will be spending a few days on the bike.

Welcome, glad to see another Rappie on the Aussie isle, if ur eva near Toowoomba, look us up !
Most of these riders on the forum, have no idea how draining it is to ride in 32 degree Celsius weather, not that i'm complaining !
I'd rather warm than cold !! but there have been days so hot, i've felt like passing out on the bike.
Nice area up there, we have friends around Cairns, and Mackay, and have ridden up there a few times. prefer the roads around Brisbane tho.
Alot more choice rides.
Merry Christmas everyone.

Would love to get a chance to complain about the heat
I think my record from younger years is waiting 5mins with my hands on the engine trying to get enough feeling in my fingers to be able to turn the ignition key
Now-a-days the bikes are parked up through most of the winter, although that may change if I manage to get the XT500 back on the road..
Re: Hello from Tropical North Queensland
It was above 40 C here today - No riding for us!
Welcome aboard Robo!!
Good to see more Qlders on here.

Hello from the West Coast, nearly as hot, not so steamy! Put 12K "Sunday km" on mine this year, I'm sure you'll manage something similar over there if you're having as much fun on her!
Road racing's where it's at - going round in circles all day is for hamsters.
