Seat release cable.

Post by wdavie »

Hi does anyone have a photo of how the seat release cable runs as my bike didn’t have a seat lock so now I’ve sourced that the cable seems to be very long and I cannot work out where it should route. Thanks

Hi there,

I replied and included a photo of the arrangement sent from my other computer but that doesn't appear to have got through, even though it was posted beneath your query i.e. presumably the right web address. Might our illustrious web-master be able to locate that contribution? Maybe someone else has a pic to offer.

Hmmm... I just added the pics as an attachment &set it to be inline & that worked.

The cable itself does actually lie flat - I just moved it up so you could see the path.

Thanks Andy. I’ll have to check my seat release mechanism as I think it might be on the wrong way round as I think cable comes out of mine on passenger side. Would explain why the cable seems too long though. Thanks again. Wayne
