e bay scams

Post by Shlockengronk »

apparently theres heaps going on there but i just got caught up in one to do with an italian superbike worth $20 000 for $5000, it comes with a big sob story about marriage kids etc when you email him (you cant bid until you do)and then you get sent very authentic looking pages from shipping companies, ebay, bank payment web sites but when you check the plate and frame numbers nothing lines up.......so heres what to look for, 2 to 3 day auctions, email before bidding, numbers not matching of course, sob story form some other country(which would cost them more than the asking price to ship anyway) payment by western union or square trade. The more i looked into it the more common knowledge its becoming, some even think ebay is in on it too......the old saying if it looks to good too be true it probably is, just spreading the word and hope no one has been sucked into these scams........maybe i was too greedy, i mean i already own an italian superbike dont we all here woooooo hoooooo
