Crash Bungs - "tested"

Post by twistedpr »

Today, one of London's finest taxi drivers kindly gave me the second opportunity in the last six months to test crash protection for the Rappy

Ok, this was more of a low speed drop than the full on slide of the first one, but I reckon that the damage would have been a lot worse had I not had crash bungs fitted. I have the R&G frame bungs (had to buy longer bolts though, as the standard one were too short :? ) as well as wheel spindle bobbins from www.mgmoto.co.uk (or The_Magic_Bush on ebay).

The latter are only £18 for a complete front/rear set and so easy to fit. They look ok and really work too, with one set being enough to protect the front forks and rear swingarm. However, if you can stand how they look, I reckon you should get 2 sets and fit all the extra bobbins on the rear wheel to protect the exhaust can. That's what I'm doing! 8)
