What mods have we done

Post by Dazza Bing-Bong »

Morning :D

I don't know if this has been done before, and if it has I apologize, but we're all moification mad and it would be interesting to list all the mods we have done. My bike is the 1000.

Here's mine to date in the order that I did them;

Christie Automotive TRE
K&N filter
Motad Stainless pipes (staight through)
Powercommander II (cheers TLMonkey)
DynaPro set-up at STR Racing, Norwich ( 9BHP & 5Ftlb torque gain)
Engine crash bungs
Fork crash bungs
Tail tidy from Germany
Bikefarm Tailrisers 25mm
Renthal Superlows in grey
Motrax grips
R and G Bar ends
Pyramid Carbon Fibre front mudguard (hellishly expensive)

Next week I'm fitting EBC rear disc and pads and the Aprillia rear shock. When I can work out how to upload pictures these will follow.

Darren.

Some peeps have posted mods in this thread already
http://raptors.ukbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2210

Have updated my V-Rap 1000 a little since then (650ie is still the same), so here's the latest list of mods.
Hagon rear shock (now with remote damper control)
Hagon progressive fork springs
X-Tra Raptor steering damper (sodding clamp is broken though, so it's coming off :( )
WRP straight through cans
TRE
K&N filters
Full PCIII kit (PCIII, quickshifter, hub & lcd 8) )
HID headlight (night vs day difference)
LED rear end (indicators and brake light)
Scottoiler
Carbon hugger
Skidmark V-Rap screen
Datatool Turnalert (leaving indicators on is my worst habit)
Bikefarm ride height triangles
X-Tra Rap seat (carbon look)
X-Tra Rap carbon number plate holder
Carbon crash bungs & normal spindle bungs

But the best performance upgrade has been losing 10kg of fat (only another 10kg to go)

In shed and on the might-get-round-to-this-one-day-or-might-sell-it list
1. Replacement body kit (tank, horns, mudguard, belly pan, headlight fairing) in assorted colours. To be taken to re-painters as soon as I've made up my mind what the hell the colour to paint - Dynorod Orange is still the leading contender
2. TLR throttle bodies (twin injectors) wiring loom, CDI & PCIII
3. RSVR Ohlins forks, steering damper, yokes, brake discs and mudguard

Wishlist
1. Carbon bits
2. RSV Rear end
3. Maybe some more carbon bits
4. Baines link (still want it higher)
5. Oh, and some lovely carbon would be nice
6. RCS 19 brake conversion
Four wheels move the body.
Two wheels move the soul.

Booah, I've just added that up for you. 8275 Aus dollars :o . Is that a record on how much an individual has spent on their raptor?
