Who sells Rad grills?

Post by dizzyblonde »

Still currently waiting for my VRap to have the rad fixed, and the dealers swear it was a stone chip that needs a microscope, that caused the issue. I'm not convinced knowing their inherent problems. 'but they are doing it as a goodwill gesture'
I called Beowulf, as they are local, and they don't do them, as they don't have much call for them. They have to do them in batches of 25 :(

So who in this world does a nice rad grill for the Raptor..or do I just fashion one out of my grill pan from the oven

Your Rapter looks like a sci fi robot dragon! and it breaths fire too! It singed my eye brows and boiled my eyes at the lights! smudge

Try M&P or Busters etc. as I got one years ago from there I think.

I may still have it lying around as I removed it after my write-off!!

Have a look at the last entry by Zane, something I've been meaning to do but never got round to it...he's made it sound simple enough :D

check this out from local Band Q store.

aluminium gold anodised sheet cut to size and edges covered in plastic edge trim like on edges of car panels and held in place with two cable ties.

Still got oil cooler to do which is a little more difficult.

I just did mine the 'Zane' way, using a large stainless mesh from the local discount motor shop.
I felt a bit of a 'Barry' doing it, but at least I knew it was a good cause.

It looks smart enough & should do the job.

I would suggest using a breakfast cereal box as a template though.
Cut the cardboard so it is long enough to seat snugly in the left & right radiator end caps.

Hi,

Here in Australia we have two options. One is a local producer called radguard www,radguard.com.au
and the other is an American site www.coxracingroup.com. The Americam guards are cheaper, but it all depemds on postage.
