I had to drive home on fast idle last Thursday with broken throttle cable can anyone recommend anywhere I can get these sort of parts? Specifically the open cable. The only place I have found is OEM Motorparts.
Does the cable from an SV fit? The inner cable is about 73 cm long?

Had one snap on my 1000. I had a new one made up by Venhill http://www.venhill.co.uk/
They were really quick and not expensive. If you're in the UK then I would recommend them

The things you find out! They are about five miles from where I work I'll be down there Weds with my bits to have one made up. Better than waiting an unknown length of time for one from Motgb.

Brilliant service from Venhill Engineering I took along my old cable and they fitted a new inner cable while I waited.
