48,000 service

Post by ontrack »

g'day all. have 48000 kms coming up . what should be looked at in this service. no dedicated cagiva dealers here anymore so will take it down to the suzuki dealer. i like to do as much as i can seeing as how they're charging $100 aus per hour now. so shims and throttle bodies balanced? its an 03 1000cc raptor
thanks

Take a look at Burnie Morgan's site for what's required at each service. I disagree on one thing with Burnie - and thats oil, I've always used semi synth
but the service schedule (suzuki) is probably the one they'll use

The Cagiva service schedule only goes to 24,000 kms ( ) so really I suppose the service could depend upon previous ones.

If she's been looked after during her life maybe a basic oil/filter change etc. is all she needs. How many km since the last service?
To a Raptor....EVERYTHING else is just prey !!

Thanks Guys. It was my mate's bike and was always serviced. He bought it with 4000kms on it. Runs Motul 5100 oil. The guy at the shop told me if i remember correctly 48k service is the same as the 24k. I'll look up that link. Cheers for the info Dave
