In the shops

Post by Spyke »

Thought it might be an idea to have a thread for those little things we see in the shops, that might be useful to other owners, at the moment I'm tempted by the following:

Renthal coloured sprockets: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/231197910398
Adjustable footpegs: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/200864803885
Leather seat cover: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/231163112040
Black folding levers: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/390712012582
Clutch cover: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321367400457

Ooh, those bungs/bobbins are nice, good find!

I'm a sucker for the Evotech reservoirs myself, got one of their side exit reservoirs on the front, and a mini one for the rear, nice kit. http://www.evotech-rc.it/product/9365/F ... UID-OUTLET and http://www.evotech-rc.it/product/9342/F ... LIC-CLUTCH - the rear needed a small spacer to keep it off the hanger, no big deal though.

Well it's cold and wet here tonight, apparently Winter's arrived, but as I was walking the dogs I was all snug and toasty in the jacket I bought some time ago - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/150656420579

They took special requests, so I asked for only one Cagiva logo on the back - two of the same logo, in different sizes, seems a bit excessive to me.

It seems to be well made, certainly better quality than my cheap n' cheerful fleabay Ducati jacket, and putting my hands in the pockets meets a nice kinda smooth microfibre-type material - which is great because I hate the feeling of nylon on my fingernails the way most people hate the sound of fingernails on a blackboard. :yuck:

They also do a louder jacket with lots of red, but I went for black to hide any dirt, I'm a mucky pup! At less than AU$100 delivered, I reckon it's been pretty good value.

Hey Spyke they look ok. Whats the sizing like ? I agree about the 2 cagiva emblems, did you keep the large or small ? I may be up for one of those. I emailed them about the sizeing, also if i could have the smaller cagiva patch not addedd to jacket but sent with jacket :D I have a feeling their sizing will be out and need to go one or two up ?Why is the ebay ad in french if its a seller is in Thailand

Sizing was pretty good - I got a small, and when the jacket is zipped up and laid flat it's 60cm, armpit to armpit. In most gents clothes I'd be a small, so just order your usual size I'd say. The logos are not embroidered patches that are sewn on, the logos are embroidered directly onto the material, so there isn't really a separate patch they could send you. I kept the big logo, more striking I think.

Blooming fleabay keeps suggesting stuff to me - this jacket looks well priced, at least! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121353555618

Anyway today it's chilly, not raining any more, wearing my hoodie! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/150708727279

Nice find! :happyhappy: So, who's going first? I might need to find a job this month. :yuck:

Someone might get a bargain oil plug: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/360965532276
But if they don't get this one, there are others available from $15, a search for "Cagiva billet" will turn them up.

These people have the same logo but with the "Cagiva" written underneath (i know 'cos it cost me a bloody fortune for them to scan it). http://www.wilkinsonsembroidery.co.uk/
They embroider free if you buy their garments, which are good stuff and not expensive, or if you take something in they will bung it on for you. They won't do it while you wait though, they are usually well busy doing corporate stuff.

The Big W photo lab that did my mug just told me they're doing $5 mugs and stubby coolers, for the next three days, which is a pretty good price! http://www.bigwphotos.com.au/

I Googled Cagiva, then hit the Images, and then Logo sections of the results, to get inspiration for mine, but there's heaps of other neat bike pics and logos around!

[Tikka don't read this, you don't want to know!] The nice folks at BS Motoparts just told me they're doing up to 50% off this weekend, so if you've been swithering over investing in V-Trecs then this weekend you can score between 33 and 47% off them at http://www.bs-motoparts.com/en/Cagiva/R ... rs-985.htm.
