How many on the road are on here

Post by sidrat »

So accoring to "howmanyleft" there are the following raptors (excluding 125's)

Raptor 71 on the road and 185 on Sorn
V-Raptor 37 on the road 109 on sorn
X-Raptor 5 on the road 8 on sorn
650 Raptor 24 on the road and 62 on sorn
650 V-Raptor 2 on sorn

Making 139 of us with a road legal bike

How many are on this forum i wonder? enough for a get together?

For those 2 of you with the 650 raptors, get one of them on the road

Well, at least my 1K and 650ie are both road-legal. The 650 would be a gem if I ever got around to changing the shock spring.

Has anyone here seen or owned a 650 V-Raptor?

I've just sold what would have been called a Raptor 125 if it had been a year or two newer; my delicious Planet 125. It was more a trophy than a bike I rode much, albeit great fun to wind it up. I took it for an MOT and the MOT man fell in love with it and wanted to have it in his shed! That suited me because I needed a bit more space for the bikes I do ride. Sorry to see it go, though. :wavesad:

I'm one of the "X"es - to my shame it was SORNd for two years but it's back on the road now.
There don't seem to be many Rappys down here in the South-West, be nice to meet up with any.

To my shame, both of my Raptors are now out of tax and off the road until the Spring. The roads in East Anglia do get pretty foul at this time of year, so I figured I'd make do with other bikes that are better-protected or less precious. Now I find one of them (the ST4) needs a new shock, so my one runner is the rather tall Cagiva Canyon 500. In the family, you could say, but chalk vs cheese compared with the Raptors. Definitely the slow lane anyway.

I emptied the tank last night. I would normally put it away and just use the Aprilia Shiver, but that has been at the shop for the last 8 weeks!!!!

Although I haven't yet got an office to commute to I still take 'im out for a brapp once a week to blow mine & his cobwebs away. Took him out yesterday and the cold & slight moist misty (dense) air made the motor run big & strong & torquey.

And even in the cold he still puts a smile on me face and because it's only once a week it feels real quick.

I too don't mind riding in the cold, in fact we are out on track (not on the Raptor) on the 5th December
