Raptor forks sorted !

Post by Markie »

Just had my forks fettled by Revs Racing (Halesowen - West mids area)

The owner (John Gaskell) really loves his job, and worked his magic on my forks - which now seem far, far better than before.
He changed the seals, springs, oil & viscosity and played with the damping and rebound.

The lot came to about £165 - which I considered to be a bargain (the seals needded changing anyway)
Even better, the work was finished the same week :D

Give him a go if you have fork probs (which I guess means anyone with a standard Rap)

Very interested in what he has done but a bit confused as far as I can tell you cannot adjust the bulk of the damping and rebound as the cartridges are crimped and the internals are not accessible.

Can you let us know what he did in respect to these settings? Aside from the natural changes that happen when you put in thicker oil and a different air gap?

Thanks.
