Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS
and a merry Yule to you too
when it gets here
I'm guessing a premature congratulation is proof against early and excessive celebration
pass that box of chateau plonk - and open the tap

That's because Willy Wonka has been making them since August and he's no room left in his factory

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS
And a Happy Christmas from me, too, everyone.
Been doing the occasional lurking here, but now just waiting for Spring.
Put the Rappies away in late October, both in a garage, wrapped in big sheets of heavy duty plastic, all taped up and sealed and each with a kilo or so of silica gel in a tray underneath to soak up the moisture. Did it on a dry day, so it'll be interesting to see how they come out in the Spring. Last year I had one covered up in my cousins garage with a low-wattage temperature controlled heater. I used to do that with my Moto Guzzi. Those cast iron brake discs would rust at the sight of a rain cloud, but came out all shiny every Spring. Couldn't impose on cuz this year, hence the silica gel experiment.
Don't think I ever mentioned the second Rappie, but they say confession is good for the soul. I was so sure that I would end up crashing the first one that I figured an assembled, functioning set of spares was a good idea, given that obtaining spares is not always easy. Well, that's my excuse. And it only had 1500 miles on it…
Still haven't seen a modern bike that grabs me like a Raptor. Basic. 1000. In red. Sorry.
And a Happy, Healthy, Prosperous and Safe New Year.

Don't apologise, they're the best ones!
