Scarlatti carbon bits

Post by Boofhead »

G'day there fellow Rap lovers,

have any of you blokes had anything to do with Scarlatti carbon products (I think they're in Romford)?

Their site has a great range of carbon bits for Raps and I have contacted them to ask some questions about their products before purchasing them, but they never responded to my email.

Does anyone know if they're a legitimate company? or are they just a bit slack with overseas enquiries (Australia)?

Cheers & stay upright

from Boofhead

P.S. went to the Troy Bayliss classic again last weekend....farkin' excellent & it's only 2hrs down the road. It had the likes of Bayliss, McCoy, Vermuelen, Crump & Jack Miller riding, just to name a few :happyhappy:

It was the TrendItaly CF that was thin, the Scarlatti didn't fit, and took ages.

What parts are you after? I just might be interested in swapping my carbon hugger and/or bellypan for plastic ones painted in "bat grey"!

Excuse the muck, tomorrow is bath day! I like the angular lines:

It hangs from a mount that sits behind the oil cooler:

It is a little "milky" looking at the very sharp edge where the resin is quite thick, I think the resin must have gone into the corner of the mould better than the CF did. It seems to be just a single layer of CF, so if you were to hold it up to the light you'd see pinpricks of light in between the CF weave.

And at the back it attaches with wee spacers that hang off the engine bolts:

But I'm in Oz, postage may be outrageous back to you in Blighty.

But a piece of good news for me is that it looks like the minor weeping from the generator plug has been cured by the non-OEM o ring!

Ordered a Scarlatti carbon fibre rear hugger for my Raptor 1000 a few years back , when it arrived it was identical to the e-moto item that i already had , but did not fit !!!
Fair play to Scarlatti , they refunded me my money & the return postage ..........

Does any one know of a carbon fibre hugger that will fit the Raptor 1000 ? ? ? ...
