Needs pix
BUT instead of removing the thingy you could maybe use that Rapid Fix I keep bleating on about to repair the broken bit, OR you could get some dinky little number plate lights to mount on the plate itself, OR if you're determined to get the thingy off then best bet is probably to use small drill bits and drill out the seized nuts.

SOD IT, damn plate's reflective, it can do without a light.
I was going to fit the spare tail, because I knew the nuts holding the light unit were a pain to remove - but looks like that could be easier than the other bugger, and will be the way for the time being
I do need an angle grinder though - maybe I could sneak one in and hide it so t'dragon don't know nuffin

Remember these? http://www.lockhartphillipsusa.com/Spik ... Black.html
Go on, you know you want to...
I emailed them and they quoted postage to Oz, then they sent me a PayPal invoice which I paid and they sent them out, I'm still very happy with them. They do them in blue and silver too.

Re: Ouch seized nuts
number plate lamp housing now removed. In case anyone else needs to do this the damn little bolts holding it are 5/16" imperial.
Tools I would recommend for this job - a hammer and a hacksaw -
remembering my tools are mostly zip ties, WD40, nail polish and duct tape, I did actually have the imperial spangels available.

Mmm, Spangles, I seem to remember I like the purple ones best, blackcurrant, maybe?
I had a quick look for them, and found this ad which seems to be from even before my time, the world was a simpler place in those days.
Anyone remember this stuff? Very un-PC as well!
And I wonder if Dr Who rolled these himself!

oooooooh I loved 'sweet tobacco' and sweet cigarettes, and spangles too. Might be a bit late for me to start to 'go gay' though, being a grandparent and all.

Wow, congratulations!
I reckon you're never too old to try new things - my grandad took up windsurfing at 58, and I often seem to see OAPs in the paper doing parachute jumps and stuff, never say never!
