Hi, I don't think it is possible (not without the risk of ruining your speedo).

You have a PM

Hi

I would be interested in something like that too.., I hate that the info is only in mph when you go abroad. Is anyway to change it in those ocassions? or is there something like an additional speedo that you can attach to the exising and would give you the kmh too?

Thanks

Or the expensive option is GPS/SatNav.
I agree with Miz and wouldn't swap them about for fear of causing damage.

NZ have you fitted the bicycle one to the Raptor? A mate had one on a Thundercat but he didn't think the wheel fitting would work on the Rap's forks.

Welcome in mpglondon :) which Raptor do you ride?

Not me but on other forums. Recommendation is a wireless model as the cables are often too short for a bike. Sigma BC2006 or Cateye.

Hi Guys.. thanks for the replies.

i got a V-Raptor 1000.

good idea about the GPS thing.., now i have to think how to hold one, make a hole in the horns for the lighther plug and see where i can connect the cable without been directly to the battery.., but that sounds great idea really.

Hi,

Although the speedo will "read" in MPH the display will still state KPH.

Hi,

yes that's true. But the fact that this converter exists (of course for the SV but assuming it will be similar on the Raps) tells me that it is likely that there is no easier way to change that. I read on a GSX-R forum, where they had the same problem, that only on US and/or canadian models it is possible change (by pressing certain buttons on the combi). Does that sound weird??? On the German Cagiva page the same question was asked with the same outcome (http://www.cagivaonline.de/ search for "Tacho Umstellung"). The thread is still pending and they want to ask a dealer. I'll keep you informed.
