This is probably a daft question......

Post by Plums »

Well as some of you know I am now the proud owner of a rap
But I have a little question (probably daft :P )
I've read on some web pages that the rap has a scrollable temp gauge... But does it?
I can't find it......
Can anybody enlighten me?

Cheers me dears

it does have a temp gauge which you find by pressing the button on the clocks to step from odometer/trip1/trip2/temp gauge then back to odometer.

I take it that is what you mean by scrollable?

Not on my dashboard though....the rubber button is for the odometer and trip1 and trip2 only....there is a red small lamp to warn you for heating problems....
It's all greek to me....

Oh how odd! Mine has same as CT. I thought they were all the same, that would confuse me as I habitually leave mine on temperature.

Sadly no temperature readout.... Mine seems the same as Vassilis.... just a red light incase of problems :(
Which is a shame as I always like to keep an eye on engine temps....

I have found a reasonable solution on ebay (Yet again  )

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Oil-Temperatu ... 484123969b

Which will help me keep an eye on oil temps....

Cheers Guys....

Maybe it's the 650 that does not have the temp readout and the 1000 that does??

That might be it
I know where I can get a raptor 1000 speedo so I'm wondering if I could just swop the speedos and get a reading? That would be awesome!

One is never to old for tight fitting speedos

Ooo if you source a new speedo I'd be interested in your old 650 one :)

Mine had an arguement with a road sign and no amount of glue is now keeping the moisture out of it..

Hey Frankisan,

I'm not sure it would be good for you.... my speedo is in kmh and I haven't the foggiest how to change it to miles?

Sorry Bud.... :(

I should be able to figure that one out.. My current speedo shows Kph but is actually in MPH..

Drop me a message with how much you'd want for it ;-)

Thanks for the offer Frankiesan....
There is a rap 1000 speedo up for sale on ebay..... maybe that would work for you?

here's the link
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CAGIVA-RAPTOR ... 5ae28df7ec

would probably work out cheaper than buying mine as shipping alone would be around 20 squid....

Frankisan can I ask you if you have the temp reader on your speedo?

Cheers,

Paul.

I have a rap 1000 speedo spare. it all works fine just the outer casing was damaged in a crash, purely cosmetic which is why I changed it.

The casings I believe are the same, I would be happy for you to try it out with your 650 to prove it works first. Just a thought..................................
