Re: Xtra Raptor Trike
The Xtra Raptor trike was built by one of the previous members of the site, SAF..... an excellent build done for two reasons.... one, he could.... and secondly, due to an accident, trikes were a lot easier and more comfortable to ride.

Re: Power Commander info required
Hi Kilgore, I have a TL 1000 S, PC 2 (believe it's the 506-111) fitted to my bike and it makes a massive difference in smoothing out the throttle response and getting rid of any excessive on/off fuelling glitches. I also have a TRE fitted, but the biggest difference has to be the PC (as I just menti...

Re: power commander
Hi Crap Tartan, I've been using a TL 1000 S power commander for a while now, old PC 2 serial port version, and consider them well worth the investment. By coincidence, I recently removed it when I had to fit a new Meta alarm when mine died over winter and struggling to replace the PC (absolute pain ...

Re: clattery engine
Hi, could be number of things but one to have a look for as I had a similar noise on mine a while back...had my arse twitching for a while, thought there was some bad shit happening.......there is a metal spacer ring in the joint on the rear exhaust downpipe near the shock. When exhaust cold, as obv...

Re: Whoopsy on Vrap :(
Hi,
I have a set of Renthal road "ultra lows" on my Xtra-Rap - they have to be set up well as the clearances are pretty tight to stop anything catching on the horns or the cables being stretched too tight.
Once set up though, they are fine.
regards.

Re: huggers and tail tidies…recommendations?
Using a NWS carbon hugger on mine. Easily fitted but had to add a number of small rubber spacers between hugger and the swing-arm as the hugger is only attached at the front by nylon tie-wraps and it will move around slightly and rub the paint work. http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/1995/p6281202.j...

Re: Quick Exhaust Question
Hi there, as already stated the Venom cans probably have springs to hold the cans in situ', this is only achievable if you have lugs welded to the link pipes to enable the springs to hook into. Most other companies use a heavy duty bolted pipe clamp, usually a 51-55mm or 55-59mm depending upon the o...

the renthals I fitted on needed a small pilot hole drilling in each side of the bars to locate the small lug on the controls (Stops the controls from spinning around on the bars) easily measured from the standard bars. You don't need to drill all the way through the metal, just enough depth to locat...

I fitted Renthal ultra lows to my X-rap, mainly for cosmetic reasons but they are very slightly higher than standard and therefore more comfortable. You do have to be careful with X and V-raps as the horn limit the height you can go, as do the cable lengths for any model.. You could also try somethi...
